Surprise Baby shower

Savannah's surprise baby shower.

So my friend Savannah is due to give birth to a baby girl on the 30th January. She is deciding to call her Gracie-Jane Stokle. In fact shes in early stages of labour  RIGHT NOW (20th jan). She started getting signs of labour at around 9 am on the 19th so the baba should be here any time soon!

Me and a group of friends decided it would be a good idea to organise her a surprise baby shower. See as when went for a little sleepover in late November and she had mentioned she wanted a surprise one. So we came up with a plan to all chip in money and buy her separate gifts. Amie contacted savannahs mum asking about it. She thought it was a fabulous idea. So we arranged a date, we decided on Friday 15th. We made our way up there for 6pm and we waited for around 20 minutes. Then she finally turned up...

This picture was took while recording so its not a very good picture but this is her as she walked in and we shouted surprise. She was crying bless her. She didn't have a clue what a happening. To get her out the house her family had told her she was going to the a Chinese buffet out of town hah hah. But she ended just driving all over town till she told to be brought home. Then we all waited for the door to open and then. SURPRISE. I think she hated us a little. She hide behind the door for a while crying until her mum made her come in.

Then it was gift time. We all got assigned different things to get her. I got her 3 packets of baby wipes, a packet of bibs and some little booties from BHS. She also got a snowsuit, knitted hat, a set of onesies with hats, and thats all i can remember. She loved them all.

We all then sat for around 3 hours gossiping about everything and anything. Boys, food, college and of course, baby Gracie. We are all so excited to be none related aunties! As she's the first i my friendship group to have a baby it's really exciting for us all. She is probably the last person we all expected to become a mummy.

Just before it was time to leave, we decided to cut the cake. We all seemed to have a little giggle when savannah was holding a "Big knife", although she is having a baby hah hah. But the cake was absolutely gorgeous. The icing was a bit sickly but it was lovely still.

Once it was finally time to go home, me, Amie and Zhiyin decided that instead of getting a taxi we  would take an adventure and pay £1.20 to  get a train, one stop. We waited around 30 minutes for a train. After we thought we where going to miss the train, the scary little girl voice announcement, FREEZING COLD, I was happy to finally get home into bed. But it was a night and a adventure to remember.

I hope you enjoyed this post. i enjoyed writing it. I think it will be on to look back on in a couple of years when Gracie is coming to be 2.

I'm so sorry that im late with both my Saturday and Monday blog post but i will make sure you don't lose out.
